Kay Thompson Williams, 68, of 728 5. 4th Ave. died of heart failure Tuesday, June 4, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pence Funeral Home In Newton with the Rev. Robert Price, pastor of the Prairie City Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Colfax City Cemetery.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials will be accepted in her name.
The daughter of Weldon and Leatha (Meter) Thompson, she was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Iowa.
She is a 1952 Newton Senior High School graduate. On Dec. 28, 1954, she married Richard W. Williams in Colfax. She was a homemaker and enjoyed country crafts.
Survivors include a son, John W. Williams of Newton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Raymond Kinart of Prairie City and Donna and Mike O’Braza of Altoona; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded In death by her parents, husband and a brother. ~ Newton Daily News June 2002
