Mrs. Glenn Whitehead Has Fatal Heart Attack Wed.

Found Dead In Bed By Son When He Came Down To See About Breakfast

Mrs. Glenn Whitehead, 38, was stricken with a fatal heart attack Wednesday morning and was found dead by her son Dean, 16, about 8:10 when he came down to see about breakfast, not having been called as usual. Mrs. Whitehead, who has had heart trouble for many years, was awake when Mr. Whitehead, who had prepared his own breakfast left for work at the factory at 6 o'clock and seemed in her usual health. It looked as though she might have made an effort to get up to call the children, which was her habit and then had fallen back on the pillows. When the physician came about 8:20 he stated she had been dead about an hour.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Beals, Ethel, now Mrs. Whitehead, was born near Ira, Iowa, in June 1907. She was united in marriage to Glenn Whitehead about 20 years ago and to this union the son, Dean and a daughter, Jeanette, twelve, were born.

Besides the devoted husband and children she is survived by her father Sam Beals of Mingo, three sisters, Mrs. Artie (Helen) Bell of Colfax, Mrs. Lola Cordray and Mrs. Lena Watchler of Waterloo and a brother Norris of Mingo.

Mrs. Whitehead had been in much better health the past year and on the first part of March they had moved to their own home on Front Street, where they were getting comfortably settled.

She attended the Christian Church and was as active in outside affairs as her health would permit. Funeral services are still indefinite.
