Samuel Weston
Died, very suddenly, at his residence in Independence township, Jasper county, Iowa, on Sunday, March 10, 1872, Samuel Weston, leaving a widow, four children, and a numerous circle of relatives and acquaintances to mourn, though not without hope.
He was a native of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; born, November 17, A.D. 1800, long a resident of Summit County, Ohio, and of Wells County, Indiana. At the latter he filled the office of Justice of the Peace for fifteen years in succession to the general satisfaction. Emigrated from Indiana to his late residence in 1855.
He was for the last twenty-five years a consistent and acceptable member of the Baptist Church. An intimate acquaintance of near forty-eight years enables the writer to say that he was emphatically that noblest of God "an honest man." ~ Circa 10 March 1872
