Twedt, Michael David

Michael David Twedt, 33, of Zion, Ill., a former resident of Newton, died Friday afternoon, April 3, at the American International Hospital in Zion.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Newton First Lutheran Church. The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Roland Cemetery.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. Family visitation will be held from7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials to the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are his parents, David L. and Mary L. Twedt of Newton; a sister, Kathryn Twedt of Iowa City; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Leonard Twedt of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leonard Twedt, and his maternal grandparents, Myron and Ruth Boten.
