Monty Mulbrook's Rites Conducted

Funeral services were held for Monty Mulbrook Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 2:00 at the Morgan Funeral home. Mr. Mulbrook died Monday.

He was born in 1859 in Germany and came with his parents to this country at the age of 6 and settled in Jasper County and had made his home here since.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, and baby, Lena, about 45 years ago; his parents, Carl and Susana Mulbrook; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Altemeier of Newton, and Mrs. Kate Ellis of Mingo; three brothers, Peter Mulbrook of Kellogg, Charles of Des Moines, and one brother who died in infancy.

The Rev. Warren Koon of Omaha conducted the rites, and Mrs. Ray Ferring, accompanied by Lois Hundling, sang "Abide With Me" and "One Sweetly Solemn Thought.".

Burial was at the Center Friends cemetery. Pallbearers were his nephews.
