Miss Kate Moran Dead

Moran, Kate

The sudden death of Miss Kate Moran last evening, after an illness of less than a week, has filled with sorrow the hearts of her large circle of friends in this city. She had been employed in McFarland’s store for some time, and last Thursday morning was at her post of duty when she was suddenly ill and compelled to go home, where she continued to grow worse until death came about 9 o’clock last evening. This excellent family has been peculiarly afflicted within the last two years. The widowed mother died on the 9th day of last March and just one year previous, to a day, a daughter, Miss Cecelia passed away.

Miss Moran was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Moran. She passed her 27th birthday on the 24th of September. She was a quiet, modest young lady, kind of disposition, and made many friends. She leaves three sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss Addie, Ann, Agnes, Edward and Thos., who have the universal sympathy in their sorrow. The time for the funeral has not been decided, but it will be at the Catholic Church either Saturday or Sunday.
