SATURDAY RITES AT GILMAN FOR FRANK MICHAELS

F. T. (Frank) Michaels

Services for F. T. (Frank) Michaels, 76, longtime Newburg and Gilman resident, will be held from the Gilman Community church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Michaels died Wednesday morning at his home in Gilman following a heart attack.

Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Paul Dowty. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshalltown.

On March 6, 1924, he was united in marriage with Minnie Strand. They lived in the Newburg area until moving to Gilman, in 1948.

Survivors include his widow, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Burchland of Gilman and Mrs. David Lyle of Laurel; two stepsons, Gerald Strand of El Cajon, Calif., and Virgil Strand of Grinnell; 10 grandchildren and two sisters.

A Navy veteran of World War I, Mr. Michaels was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
