NEWTON WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Bessie McManus died this morning at 11:00 at the county home and funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church in charge of Father T.J. McCann. Burial will be made at Sacred Heart cemetery. Friends are asked to omit flowers.

Bessie Teirney was born in Cavan County, Ireland, Jan. 31, 1842. She was united in marriage to Patrick McManus March 8, 1860. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Hugh Smith, Miss Mary McManus, Pat and John McManus of Newton. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
