McCroskey, Stephen Price

Monroe - The funeral services of Stephen Price McCroskey were held at home of his son L. P. McCroskey at 2 o'clock Friday. Mr. McCroskey had been with his daughter, Mrs. Viola Monlux at Garner, Iowa. After six weeks illness he died Thursday at 8 a. m. He was born in Va., moved to Ohio, then to Ill., and finally to Iowa, where he died at the age of 82. He was a father of nine children, four of whom are still living. The body was brought by his daughter and husband. Mr. Monlux will return this week but Mrs. Monlux will remain a few weeks of rest and recover from the effects of close attention upon her father.
