Life Story of Russell Livingston
Livingston, Russell WillettRussell Willett, son of Thomas Cummings Livingston and Harriet Carder Livingston, was born and died on the same farm one and one-half miles southwest of Monroe. He was born May 19, 1877, and died November 14, 1961, at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 26 days. Death came as a result of an acute heart attack.
He was married February 15, 1899, to Jessie Kent, who died April 1, 1952. To this union one son, Donald R. was born.
At an early age he became a member of the Baptist church of Monroe. His entire life was spent farming and furthering the interests of agriculture.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers, William, Wallace, Thomas, and Harry, and two sisters, Theodosia and Ota.
Surviving are his son, Donald and two grandchildren, Mary and John.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev.Orin Young at the Crumpacker Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 1961. Mrs. Letha Gloyd provided the music, and Mrs. Dorothy LeGrand and Mrs. Jean Wilson were in charge of the flowers.
Pallbearers were Erle LeGrand, Dick Vanderwerf, Laverne Rector, Ralph Rinemuth, Harold Sellers, and Delmar Emmack.
Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
