Carolyn G (Prentice) Hubbard
May 30, 1925 ~ December 29, 2019 (age 94)

Carolyn G. Hubbard, 94, of Reasnor, died on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Nelson Manor in Newton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service and again after the service with a lunch at the funeral home. Memorials to the Reasnor United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home.

Carolyn, the daughter of Jay and Bessie (Jordan) Prentice, was born on May 30, 1925 at her family’s home in Laird, Colorado. She graduated from Wray High School in 1943. On June 24, 1945, Carolyn was united in marriage with Max Hubbard in Laird. They made their home in Edison, Nebraska for a short time before moving to a farm north of Kellogg in 1949. They farmed north of Kellogg for many years before eventually making their home in Reasnor. Carolyn was a homemaker, farmer’s wife, and mother. She was the best cook and enjoying experimenting with new recipes and making wonderful desserts. Carolyn was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Steven (Penny) Hubbard of Traer, Carol (Les) Norris of Kellogg, Eileen (Larry) Cope of Douglas, Wyoming, and Alan (Julie) Hubbard of Kimberling City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Steve Hubbard, Kim Hubbard, Sheri (Dan) Hart, Lisa (Chris) Van Gorp, Michael (Tara) Norris, Angela (Ted) Claney, Amanda (Luke) Weishaar, and Lucas Hubbard; five step-grandchildren; her 37 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max; a daughter-in-infancy, Elaine Kay Hubbard; grandson, Chris Hubbard; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Simmons and Kenny Baker; her five brothers; and one sister. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 29 Dec 2019.
