Brian John Clymer, age 26 of Colfax, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Funeral services are pending at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. The son of John F. and Beth A. (Slings) Clymer, Brian was born on December 17, 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School in 2011 and completed the welding program at DMACC in 2013. Brian was a member of the Newton Church of the Way, the Colfax Mingo FFA and the Jasper County Fair where he served as swine superintendent.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, John and Beth; the love of his life, Rachel Forschler; a brother, Jake (Natalie) Clymer and his dog, Jenny. Also surviving are two nephews, Carter Ham and Clayden Clymer; aunts and uncles, Rod (Randi Powell) Slings, Pete (Shirley) Slings, Kurt (Rhonda) Morris and Mark (Deb) Clymer along with several cousins and his many friends. Preceding Brian in death were his grandparents, Melby and Jayne Clymer and Art and Hattie Slings and an Aunt Arleen Slings. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 11 Dec 2019.
