Glen E. Koppin dies early today. rites Wednesday
Glen Elmer KoppinNewton-Glen E. Koppin, 71, of Rt. 1, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died this morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Survivers are his wife, Florence; a daughter, Mrs. David (Joyce) Bollhoefer of Laurel; and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Walter Koppin of Rt. l, Newton, and three sisters, Mrs Claire (Goldie) Schnell of Lynnville, Mrs. Gladys Birchard of Hillsboro, Ore., and Mrs. Virgil (Esther) Lincoln of Grinnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a son, Jim Dale, in infancy.
He was a member of the Zoar Church and the Jasper County Farm Bureau.
The son of Charles and Lena Brune Koppin, he was born March 2, 1911 on the family farm northeast of Newton.
He was married to Florence Adams Feb.2,1936 in Newton.
