Funeral Services Held for Mrs. L. Koger
Leslie E. Koger (nee Paul)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the James-Schalinxke Funeral Home for Mrs. Leslie E. Koger of 1320 Spring St., who died Thursday at her home.

The Rev. L. Willard Reynolds officiated at the services and Mrs. Donald J. Renaud was organist.

Pallbearers were Roy Koger, Russell Koger, Tilford Innis Jr., Clarence Innis, Richard Paul and Kenneth Paul.

Serving as flower bearers were Mrs. Ferne Claus, Mrs. Verna Paul and Mrs. Olive Strand.

Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery at Gilman, Iowa.

The daughter of Mitchell and Carolyn Crouch Paul, Mrs. Paul was born Nov. 6, 1893, in in Clinton County, Smithville, Mo. She received her education in the local schools of that communiy and came to the Grinnell area in 1913.

On June 6, 1915, she was married to Lewis O. Koger at Des Moines and following their marriage they farmed in the Grinnell and Newburg communities. Three years ago they moved to Grinnell.

Mrs. Koger was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational at Newburg and the Women's Fellowsship of that church. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxillary of Newburg.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis; one daughter, Mrs. Herb (Agnes) Wiseman of Gilman; a grandauughter, Mrs. Clarence (Janice) Arment of Columbus, Neb.; three great-grandchildren, Kelley, Brent and Ken; a nephew, Robert Paul of Newton, and a niece, Mrs. Richard Card of Connecticut, both of whom made their home with the Kogers for many years; two half sisters, Mrs. John Karneman of Cameron, Mo., and Mrs. Raymond Gall of Sacramento, Calif; one brother, Watson Paul of Connecticut; and two half brothers, Charles and Kenneth Paul of Connecticut.

Mrs. Koger was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
