FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR S. T. KLINE
Kline, S. T.

Passed Away Feb. 26th At University Hospital In Iowa City, Iowa.

Final rites for S. T. Kline, 78, were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Christian Church with the pastor Rev. W. E. Goughnour, officiating.

While Mr. Kline had been more or less in retirement the past few years, he continued to find ways and means of keeping active and not until a few weeks ago did he cease making his regular visits to the business section of the city. For many years he was a trusted and valued employee of the Close-To-Nature Company, now the Monroe Company.

S. T. Kline was born Oct. 9, 1868 in Clear Creek Township, Jasper County, Iowa, and departed this life at University hospital at Iowa City, Feb. 28, 1947, at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 13 days. On March 13th, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Dorra Starkweather and to this union four children were born, Eva who died at birth, Roy, Opal and Herbert.

He spent the last few years with his daughter, Mrs. Opal Rodgers, in Colfax. Mr. Kline was the youngest child of his family and the last to pass from this life.

He leaves to mourn his passing Roy Kline, of Santa Clara, Calif., Mrs. Opal Rodgers, of Colfax and Herbert Kline of Colfax, three grandchildren, Mrs. Claudia Lippincott, Colfax, Dorra Rodgers, Chicago, Ill., and Herbert Kline, Jr., stationed at Manilla, besides other relatives and many friends.

Music was furnished by Mrs. George Rinker and Mrs. Earl Plummer.

Pall bearers were Chris Jensen, Victor Miller, Tom Roberts, Glenn Wheeler, Raymond Fletcher and Earl Plummer.

Flower committee: Mrs. Burns McDonald and Mrs. Tom Burgess.

Burial was held at the Kintz Cemetery.
