Frank Kec Dies At Colfax; Rites Will Be Friday
Kec, FrankCOLFAX --Frank Kec, 86, a resident of Colfax since 1918 died Wednesday evening at the Grand Hotel in Colfax.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Walters Funeral Home at Colfax.
Father Karl Holtkamp of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery near Metz.
Mr. Kec is survived by his wife, Anna; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Pink of Colfax; and two grandchildren.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaclav Kec, he was born Dec. 28, 1878 in Vodolka, Czechoslovakia.
He came to the United States in 1914, settling at the Sievers mining camp. He returned to Czechoslovakia in 1917 to enlist in the army. He returned to Colfax in 1918.
He was married to Anna Vykuka July 31, 1919 at Prague, Czechoslovakia.
