Died

At the residence of his father, Mr. Samuel Veach, three miles west of Newton, May 8th, 1893, Henry Veach, aged 30 years. He was a soldier of the regular army, and served in several of the struggles with the Indians, where by exposure he contracted the consumption. He came home about three months ago, but so far had his disease progressed, that there was no hope of his recovery.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at 1 o'clock to be conducted by the Odd Fellows. The body will be taken to Metz for interment. ~ The Newton Journal, Newton, Iowa, May 19, 1893.
