Died, at her home one mile east of Colfax, Mrs. J. H. Lester aged about 46 years. She leaves a husband and nine children to mourn their loss. The funeral occurred at the home Tuesday at 1 o’clock p.m. Elder Stitt conducting the services, after which the remains were taken to the Slaughter cemetery where they were laid to rest in the hush of the silent grave.
Mother thou hast gone and left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel. But ‘tis God who hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal.
