Funeral services for Susan Diane Hagen, 44, of Des Moines, formerly of Newton, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. David Raymond, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials in Mrs. Hagen’s name for a trust for her children will be accepted.

She died Thursday, Feb. 12, in Des Moines. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending.

The daughter of Perry D. and Marjorie F. Meyer Wadsworth, she was born Sept. 28, 1958, in Des Moines. She was a 1972 graduate of Newton High School.

A longtime resident of Newton, she also lived in Marshalltown and Des Moines. She was employed as a bookkeeper and was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ and Past Rainbow Girls.

Survivors include three sons, Brett Waugh of Newton, Tanner Hagen of Idaho Springs, Colo., and Gary Shaw of Marshalltown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa and Kevin Saucier of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Desiree Shaw of Marshalltown; a brother, Steven P. Wadsworth of Newton; and her mother of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
