Death of Sabin Gove
Gove, Sabin

Sabin Gove, a citizen of this county from back in ’54 until about 3 years ago, died in Pasadena, Cal., on the 10th inst (of this month). Mr. Gove’s health had been declining for some time when he sought the milder climate of Southern California in the hope of bettering his condition. Those hopes were not realized death claimed him, and his body was brought back to his old home in Sully last week, and on Wednesday, after funeral services held at the Old Settlers Park, his remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows (Lynnville Woodland) Cemetery near Lynnville. The services were largely attended by the old friends and neighbors of Mr. Gove, who had known him for over forty years, and among whom he had always been held in the highest esteem. Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, all grown to manhood. He was a native of Vermont, born May 18, 1826, and was over sixty-nine years of age at the time of his death.
