Gage - At his home, near Prairie City, on Friday, Aug. 18, 1876, Simon P. Gage, in the 73rd year of his age.

The deceased was highly respected by a large circle of acquaintances. He had always lived a frontier live, having been born in New York and lived successively in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa.
