Mrs. Ida Toedt

A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. today in the Kreidler-Pride chapel for Mrs. Ida Toedt, 84, who died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Elick, 209 Cynthia. The Rev. K. R. Hemphill, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will be in charge of the service.

The body will be forwarded to Newton, Ia., her former home, for burial.

Mrs. Toedt was born Sept. 26, 1869, in Jasper County, Ia., and was a former resident of Newton. For the past seven years she had spent her winters in McAllen and her summers in Iowa.

Mrs. Toedt is survived by another daughter in McAllen, Mrs. Perry Moffitt, two grandchildren here, Paul and Carolyn Moffitt; four sons, Herbert, Dan, Leo and Chester, all of Newton, and several other grandchildren. Her husband, Herman P. Toedt, died in 1909.
