Guy B. Emmack Dies at Home

Guy B. Emmack, 73, a resident of Jasper county for the past 70 years, died this morning at his home 8 miles southwest of Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Newton Methodist church. The Rev. Allan K. Williams, pastor of the church, will officiate.

Mr. Emmack is survived by his wife, a son, Lyle of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Zelma Williams of Newton, Mrs. Elva Bell of Newton and Mrs. Oletha Runyan of Monroe; and 10 grandchildren.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Emmack, he was born Nov 21, 1881 in Mercer county, Ill. He came to Jasper county with his parents at the age of three.

Mr. Emmack received his education in Jasper county schools and after his marriage to Myra Brock, in February, 1903, he moved to the farm southwest of Newton where he has resided for the past 52 years.
