Dies at the County Home
Dunlap, John

Uncle John Dunlap, an old gentleman sixty-seven years of age, died in the county poor house at 10 o’clock last Sunday night. He had been an inmate of the home nearly all the time for over twenty years, and by his kind disposition and gentle manners had made himself loved and respected by all. He had no relatives living that he knew of except one niece near Baxter.

He was a member of the Hixon Grove M. P. Church, and was always faithful in attendance when not prevented by sickness. After his death, the members of the church took charge of his remains, had the funeral service in the chapel, conducted by Rev. James Kirkwood, on Tuesday afternoon and laid his body to rest in the Slagle Cemetery.
