Drew, Submittance (Jackson)

Mrs. Obed Drew departed this life Tuesday morning, August 20th, 1895 at 1 o'clock a. m.

The deceased was born in Belmont, Maine, April 10, 1817. Submittance Jackson, (Mrs. Drew's maiden name) was married to Obed Drew May 8th, 1836, and the newly married couple at once went to Ohio, where they lived for some time. They came to Jasper County, Iowa, 33 years ago. Three children were born to them. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
