A shocking death occurred Monday morning about 6 o’clock in this place Bruce Dixon, a laborer, was found dead in his bedroom with a revolver near him. They rendered the verdict in substance, came to his death by a bullet fired from a revolver in the hands of an unknown person. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10:30, Rev. J. C. Hall, assisted by Rev. Luring, officiating. The remains were then taken to Monroe for interment.
