Linder – Died at her residence in Nebraska, Jan. 10, 1887, Mrs. Rachael Linder, wife of Wm. R. Linder.
Deceased was a sister of Wm. Thompson and Mrs. L. M. Randall of this tp., to whom the sad news had only reached a few days ago, having met with some unknown delay.
Mrs. Linder was almost universally known throughout Independence twp.; known as one of those lovable, Christian women who commands the respect and admiration of all.
In 1884 the family moved to western Nebraska, where her husband had taken a homestead, and there in that western land were building for themselves a home. Just in the noon of life, when prosperity was surrounding her, when happy hopes were centered upon four children growing up under the benign influence of a Christian home, and just in the act of a prayer, oft repeated, she fell from her chair, a victim of heart disease.
The husband and four children have the tender sympathies of their relatives here and when this notice is read by the many friends in this locality their surprise will turn into grief.
