Max E. Cline

Max E. Cline, 43, a Newton contractor and heavy equipment operator who did considerable work in the Grinnell area, died late Tuesday in Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

He was the owner of Cline Construction Company in Newton.

Mr. Cline was preceded in death by his mother and an infant brother, and is survived by his wife, Mildred; a sister, Mrs. Robert Moore of rural Kellogg; and his father, Harry A. Cline of rural Lynnville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Toland Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
