Chenoweth, Mary J. (Sampson)

Mary J. Sampson was born in LaSalle County, Ill., March 15th, 1846, and lived there until 1867, when she moved to Newton, Jasper County, Iowa. On February 25th, 1869, she was married to Andrew Chenoweth. Six children were born to them of which four still survive her. She was a good Christian and mother and willing to die. She had been a sufferer for some years and confined to her bed for about a year.
