Iowa Campbell, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Lucy Iowa Campbell

Iowa Campbell, 101, of the Mayflower Home, 619 Park St., Grinnell, a former longtime instructor in the Beard School of Music and a resident of Newton from 1886 until 1963, died Sunday at the Mayflower Home.

Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.

Loehr Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

Survivors are a sister, Ruth Campbell of Grinnell, and a brother, Foster Campbell of Altadena, Calif.

Miss Campbell was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Culver Woodburn and Margaret Elizabeth Skiles Campbell, she was born Dec. 16, 1872 in Muscatine County and was a graduate of Newton Community High School.
