William H. Brock

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark - William H. Brock, 77, of Mountain Home, Ark., a former resident of Jasper County, died Friday, June 11, at the Baxter Country Regional Hospital in Mountain Home.

Private funeral services and burial will be held at a later date at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Metz. Survivors are his wife, Nanette; a son, Tim W. of Mountain Home, Ark.; two grandchildren; a brother, John W. of Newton; a sister, Marjorie Yost of Newton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ragan, and a sister, Bonnilee Seney.

Mr. Brock, a retired farmer, was a former member of the Jasper Country Iowa board of Education and the Iowa Masterswine Producers and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

The son of Ira and Bessie Zoe Dales Brock, he was born Feb 16, 1916 in Jasper County. He was married to Nanette Arndt April 5, 1946 in Nashua. Mr. Brock resided in Newton prior to moving to Mountain Home in 1980. ~ The Newton Daily News, June 1993.

Graveside rites for William H. Brock of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Jasper County, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at Sugar Grove Cemetery, east of Newton.

The Rev. Jerry Brown, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services.

Memorial contributions to the Jasper County Historical Society will be accepted.

Cremation followed death.
