Mary, 17-year-old daughter of Parker Boyd, near Mingo, died last Tuesday at the home of her parents and was buried the following day, Rev. Blood conducted the services. Deceased had been a chronic sufferer all her life with scrofula, the ravages of which compelled her some four years ago to submit to the amputation of one hand, since then she has attended the Mingo public school, and from it she graduated only a year ago; but she remained in school up to the time of her fatal illness.
