Faye Tinnermeier, 54, of Newton died Monday, Aug. 16, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. James Black of Newton Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted in her name.

The daughter of Charles and Betty (Michmershuizen) McNew, she was born Aug. 21, 1949, in Newton. She graduated in 1967 from Newton Senior High School. She worked for Progress Industries and in the mail room of Newton Manufacturing. She was a member of Newton Foursquare Church. She enjoyed crafts, collecting teddy bears, playing cards and fishing.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles David and Jennifer Tinnermeier and Todd Alan Tinnermeier, all of Newton; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Kay Wade and Andy Utterback of Newton; her mother, Betty McNew of Newton; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, Donnie McNew of Des Moines, Rick McNew and Floyd McNew, both of Newton.
