Virgil Maris Rudloff, 84, of Newton died Saturday, July 24, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. James Black of Newton Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. at the funeral home where the family will be available from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted in his name or to Hospice of Jasper County.

The son of George and Martha (Koontz) Rudloff, he was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Hull. He was a graduate of Newton Senior High School. On May 12, 1973, he married E. Mae McNeese in Newton. He worked as a time keeper for Parsons Company in Newton and later at Midtown Apartments as a desk clerk. He attended the Foursquare Church in Newton. He enjoyed the outdoors and feeding birds.

Survivors include his wife, a sister-in-law, Inez of Newton, and several cousins.
