Mrs. Hodgson, 74, Dies Monday; Rites in Monroe
Monroe – Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Hodgson, 74, died at 3:45 p.m. Monday of heart disease and complications following an illness of two years.
Daughter of Andrew and Margaret Ferguson, she was born Jan. 4, 1868, in Warren county, Ia. After residing in Missouri, she returned to this state four years ago.
Mrs. Hodgson was a member of the Methodist church of Mountain View, Mo.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Monroe Methodist church Thursday at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. E. Patterson in charge. Burial will be in the Monroe cemetery.
Surviving relatives are two half-brothers, George Elwood of Galesburgh, and Thomas Elwood of Monroe; and three half-sisters, Mrs. C. C. McFarling of Monroe, Mrs. Fred Wilson of Reasnor, and Mrs. Lucy Roush of Monroe.
