Arthur Wright Dies Tuesday
Former Newton Man Once Managed Lister Opera House
Arthur J. Wright, 77, general adjustor for the Northwestern National Insurance Co., Milwaukee, and a former Newton resident, died Tuesday night.
Word was received today from Frank P. Ross of Chicago, also a former Newton man.
Mr. Wright was manager of the Lister Opera House here around 1890, just a few years after the building was completed.
He married Imogene Van Cort and to this union were born a son and daughter, Justin and Kathryn.
Before leaving Newton Mr. Wright was agent for the Northwestern Mutual life Insurance Co. here. After moving from Newton he lived in Grand Rapids, Mich., for several years.
Mr. Wright visited in Newton a few years ago.
