Father of James W. Wilson, Carroll Dies last Night
S. W. Wilson of Albia, father of James W. Wilson, resident publisher of the Carroll Daily Herald, died Tuesday evening at the hospital at Iowa City, it was learned here today.
Mr. Wilson, a former southern Iowa publisher and of recent years sales representative for Pratt Paper company of Des Moines, was well known in Newton, having visited here on numerous occasions.
He is survived by his widow and two sons: James W. of the Carroll Herald and Howard B., editor of the Davis County Republican at Bloomfield, Ia.
Mr. Wilson was formerly editor of the Albia Union-Republican for a number of years and was prominent in fifth district republican affairs.
