Former Resident of Sully Dies in Netherlands
SULLY – Mrs. H. Van Arkel, 71, former resident of Sully, died in the Netherlands March 1, according to word received by relatives.
Mrs. Van Arkel was born in the Netherlands Nov. 29, 1865, and came to the United States in 1923, locating in Sully. In 1930, she returned to her native country.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hook of Des Moines and Mrs. Jake Laverman of Sully, and five sons, Hubert Van Arkel, in the Netherlands, Arie Van Arkel of Sully, Joe Van Arkel of Des Moines, William Van Arkel of Woodward and Peter Van Arkel of Killduff.
