Pioneer Farmer 96, Dies Today
J. W. Reavis Dies at Grinnell; Lived in Poweshiek 60 years
GRINNELL – J. W. Reavis, 96, pioneer Poweshiek county farmer, died today from a lingering illness.
Mr. Reavis had resided here for 60 years, having come here from his native state of North Carolina. He was active in pioneer life of Poweshiek county.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from the North Side Friends church.
He is survived by three sons and three daughters.
