Former Newton Resident Dies in Story City
Helmer J. Nibe, an employee for two years of the former Iowa Mercantile company here, died Sunday morning at his home in Story City following an illness of cancer of the lung.
Funeral services were to be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. from the home in Story City and burial will be in a cemetery there.
Surviving are his wife and four sons, Arnold of Jewell, Ia., Donald, a student at Iowa State college, Ames, and Harlan and Helmer, jr., at home.
