MONROE -- Jeanette J. Fiedler, 99, formerly of Monroe died Oct. 22, 2003, in Hernando, Fla.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella with the Rev. Tim Peter, pastor of Prairie City Church of the Brethren, officiating. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted in her name.

The daughter of Gerritt and Elizabeth "Libby" (Sullivan) Johnson, she was born March 18, 1904, in rural Monroe. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and married Daniel J. Sullivan. She worked at Railway Express in Chicago, Ill., and was retired. She was a longtime resident of Monroe prior to living in Chicago and Tennessee. She moved to Hernando, Fla., in 2002 to be close to her children and their families.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Hernando, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and James McCollum of Beverly Hills, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James P.; two brothers, Harold and Perry; and three sisters, Ruth Johnson, Grace Johnson and Mary Johnson. ~ Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Friday, July 23, 2004
