Colfax World War Veteran, 46, Dies Early Today
COLFAX – Benjamin H. Hoy, 46, World War veteran, died today at 2:30 a.m. at the home of an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Kintz, in Colfax. He had been ill for the past week with flue and complications.
Surviving relatives are his father, John A. Hoy of Colfax; two brothers, Thomas and John Jr., of Hedrick, S.D., and three sisters, Mrs. Clate Rink of Geneseo, Ill., Mrs. Jeff Miller of Hedrick, S.D., and Margaret Hoy of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his mother.

COLFAX – Funeral services for Benjamin Hoy, 46, Colfax World War veteran, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Bethel church, located three miles west of Baxter. Dr. Theodore Morning of the Colfax Presbyterian church will be in charge, assisted by the Bethel pastor.
Military rites will be conducted by the Colfax American Legion post at the grave in the Bethel cemetery.
Mr. Hoy died Thursday morning at the C. G. Kintz home in Colfax, following a week’s illness of the flu and complications.
