CLEAR CREEK – John Hidy, 75, died at his home at Stewartville, Mo., April 12.
Funeral services were held at the Latter Day Saints church at Stewartville, April 14 and burial was there.
Mr. Hidy, son of Joseph and Johama Hidy, was born near Clyde, Ia., March 9, 1862. His first wife Amelia Bear died June 1893. Their two small children, a son and daughter, preceded her in death. He was married in 1895, to Miss Hattie Boyer who with their six children and ten grandchildren survive.
Mr. Hidy and his family moved from their Iowa home to Stewartville March 1, 1918. He was the last of the pioneer family of Joseph Hidy.
