H. R. Elliott, 31 Dies Here Sunday
Was Resident of Newton Seven Months; Services and Burial at Perry
Herbert Raymond Elliott, 31, 502 West Eighth Street South, died Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the Skiff Memorial Hospital after a three-day illness of acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis. He entered the hospital Saturday.
The body is to be taken to Perry, Ia., for funeral services and burial.
Mr. Elliott came to Newton from Grand Junction, Ia., seven months ago and had been employed at the Newton Foundry as a molder since September.
He was born Sept. 14, 1905, in Missouri, the son of George and Mary Ane (Ship) Elliott. His parents now live at Dawson, Ia.
