Willard Booyer Dies At Kellogg
Death Comes to 20-Year-Old Kellogg Youth Early This Morning
KELLOGG – Willard Booyer, 20-year-old Kellogg youth, died today at 5:00 p.m. at his home in Kellogg, following an illness of pneumonia.
In frail health all of his life, he was taken seriously ill two weeks ago.
Tentative funeral arrangements have set the rites for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Kellogg. Burial will be made at LeGrand, Ia.
Willard was born at Lowell, Ark., but came to Kellogg when a child, spending the remainder of his life here. He was preceded in death by his father, Denny Earl Booyer, 18 years ago this month.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Mrs. Orpha Booyer, and two brothers, Jesse and Henry, all of Kellogg; a great-great grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Harris of Des Moines, and a grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Strong.

Conduct Rites In Kellogg For Willard Booyer
Funeral services for Willard Booyer, 20, of Kellogg were conducted from the Methodist Episcopal church in Kellogg Thursday afternoon by Rev. R. T. White, pastor.
Mrs. Earle Trout and Mrs. White accompanied by Mrs. Thelma Hill, sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Saved By Grace” and “When the Saints Come Marching Home.”
Burial was in a LeGrand, Ia., cemetery, with the following serving as pall bearer: L. D. McCoy, Eldo Caster, Howard Kydd, Robert McBroom, Loren Carterman and Roy Carpenter.
The youth died Tuesday at his home as the result of an illness of pneumonia.
Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs. Orpha Booyer, and two brothers, Jesse and Henry Booyer, all of Kellogg.
