CLEAR CREEK – Mrs. Orrie Baldwin, the former Martha Mickle, died at her home in Minnesota Monday, Oct. 18. The funeral was held there Wednesday.
Her husband and children, two brothers, Tom Mickle, of Newton, John Mickle of Colfax and six sisters, Mrs. William Paulson, Mrs. Margaret Hagen, of Valparaiso, Ind., Mrs. E. B. Battles and Mrs. John Phelan of Farrar, Mrs. Alice Caney of Iowa City, Mrs. Jessie Ross of Newton survive.
The Baldwins lived on the farm now the home of Ed Powleske, before going to Minnesota, and both spent their early life in Jasper county on the farms near Mingo and Farrar.
