Details on Death Of Mrs. Orwick
Details on the death and funeral services for Mrs. Henry Orwick, 87, the former Edith Eaton of Newton, have been received by her sister, Mrs. William Gregory of Grinnell. Mrs. Orwick died March 1 in Los Angeles, Cal. She had been in failing health for three years with a malignant disease and had been bedfast for about a month.
Funeral services were held March 3 at the Armstrong Family Mortuary in Los Angeles, with Rev. Glenn D. Pader officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Eaton of Newton, had left in December to be with Mrs. Orwick in Los Angeles.
She was born Apr. 5, 1911, in Newton and received her education in the Newton schools, graduating from Newton high with the class of 1929. Prior to her marriage she was employed in the office of the One Minute Washing Machine Co. in Newton.
She was married to Henry C. Orwick of Newton Sept. 30, 1933. In 1935 they moved to Los Angeles to make their home.
Survivors include her husband, her father, Loyd Eaton of Newton; her mother, Mrs. William Crockett of Kellogg; three brothers, Robert and Leon Eaton of Newton and Durward Eaton of Los Angeles; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Gwendolyn) Guessford of Davenport, Mrs. William (Leota) Gregory of Grinnell, Mrs. Lee (Elma) Robinson of Dunedin, Fla., and Avis Crockett of Kellogg.
