The body of William Brammer who died last week in Santiago, California, was brought here Tuesday evening to the home of James Offill.

Wednesday at 2 p. m., the funeral services were held in the M. E. Church conducted by Rev. Nolte.

At the close of the service the remains were laid by the side of his wife in the Waveland Cemetery. His wife preceded him a number of years ago and was the first one buried in Waveland Cemetery. Deceased lived here a number of years.

He leaves two daughters and one son, Mrs. Frank Bowen of this place, Mrs. Ball of David City, Neb., and John Brammer of Percy. ~ The Newton Record, Newton, IA, Thursday, March 16, 1899

Mr. W. A. Brammer died in Santiago, California on February 26, 1899, at the age of 78 years.

He served in the war from 1861 until his discharge for disability in 1863.

He was a former resident of Prairie City.

Burial in the new cemetery, at Prairie City.
