Linda Gifford, 62, of Newton died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Memorials will be accepted to the American Cancer Society.
