COLFAX -- John Enderson, 68, of Colfax died of cancer Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Colfax United Methodist Church. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.

Visitation will be held today after 2 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future memorial in his name.

The son of John and Martha (Oakland), he was born May 4, 1936, in Albert Lea, Minn. He graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1956. On Sept. 6, 1957, he married Letha C. Iske in Newton. He worked in the grocery business for 47 years.

Survivors include his wife, Letha; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth "Ann" McCoy of Colfax and Mary Sue and Kenneth Weston of Mingo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Ray and Crystal Enderson of Valeria and David Paul and Janice Enderson of Indianola; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delone Snook of Newton; two nieces and a nephew.

His parents and his son Kevin Lee Enderson preceded him in death.
